I was in New Haven, CT, and the plane was too heavy to take off, so they needed 2 volunteers to take the next flight. I volunteered, as they offered a 300 dollar voucher and I was planning to go on holidays in July… It turns out that the only way you can claim the voucher is by purchasing the airline ticket in person at the Air Canada counter at the airport. Therefore, after I had purchased my wife and my child’s tickets for our trip, I had to drive all the way to my closest airport (Pearson Airport in Toronto), and they couldn’t guarantee my seat!!! That’s the first and last time I do them a favour!
Don’t take Air Canada Vouchers!!!
